Year-A-Round
Corporation originated in 1966 through the efforts
of its founder and owner, C. Merton Anderson, as
a manufacturer of major agricultural tractor cabs
which led to the sales of approximately 500,000 cabs.
In the following six years complementary agricultural
products such as air conditioning units, rock boxes,
quick hitches and front fenders were introduced promoting
rapid growth from a 3,000 square foot facility to
its present 160,000 square foot facility along two
4-lane highways, Hwy 169 & Hwy 14, in Mankato,
Minnesota.
In 1968, a supplementary product line, the "JARI
Mower Series" was introduced which remains popular
today in the lawn and garden equipment line. The
decade of the seventies saw the introduction of heavier
industrial and agricultural products including the
earth buster, field cultivators, 550 bushel gravity-flow
harvest boxes with running gears, a bean bar and
stalk chopping unit adaptable to various style corn
heads on combines.
Year-A-Round Corporation has assisted in design and
initiated production for other original equipment
manufacturers in 1977, which through the current
year has involved more than seventy area businesses.
The ergonomic style LIFT TABLE has been a popular
product manufactured for diverse companies, which
eases the lifting requirements for production employees
with its self-leveling mechanism regardless of the
weight asserted to the table remaining at an operating
level for more efficient productivity. Another leading
product in the water sport industry was the SEA LEG,
which was designed to lift boats from the water.
Business diversification continued in 1984 with production
for the US Government and Postal Service. Over twenty
five products large and small have been manufactured
for government contracts. We are registered with
Central Contractor Registration as a trading partner
with the Government.
Our company is staffed with an Engineering Department
prepared to provide product development from design,
research and drafting to prototyping. Fabrication
efforts are supported by a well equipped Tool & Die
Department providing die and fixture variations to
CNC equipment, punch presses up to 500 ton, shearing
machines with capabilities of up to 10' plates and
3/8" thickness, press brakes forming up to 16',
250 ton limits, multiple-head traveling torches for
steel or aluminum. Our wire feed Welding Department
is equipped for all aspects of spot welding and welding
technology in addition to our recently purchased
robotic welder for consistent performance. Rounding
off our production line is our electrostatic Paint
Department, including heating chamber, and a spacious
Assembly Department with capabilities of running
up to 10 product lines. Manufacturing processes are
designed to comply with Quality Control ISO 9002
standards.
As a metal manufacturer, we can provide manufacturing
services for small to large jobs. We take pride in
our quality production and providing products in
a timely manner yet meeting the rigid technical standards
set forth by both the Government and the Postal Service. |
